Dr. Paul E. Tschetschot was born and raised in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa. Cedar Rapids is in the mid-eastern part of the state. Dr.
Tschetschot graduated high school in 1990, and like many young adults had no
idea of what direction he wanted to go in life. Dr. Tschetschot began
working for UPS and attended the local community college. It was while
working at UPS that he had his first chiropractic experience.
“I had
migraine type headaches my whole life. While I was working at UPS, I had a
back injury that led me to a chiropractor. While telling the chiropractor of
my injury, he asked if I had any other problems and I told him about my
headaches. After the initial process, the chiropractor told me that we would
take care of my back injury first, so I could get back to work faster. Then
we would focus on my headaches. After one week, I was back at work with very
minor pain in my back. Two weeks later I did not have any back pain. At my
next visit to the chiropractor, he re-examined me to see if all the pain
that was produced by the tests he performed on the first exam were not
produced again during the second exam. All the tests that re-produced the
pain for Dr. Tschetschot on the first exam were gone on the second exam. Now
we could really focus on my headaches. The following months are what hooked
me on chiropractic. I keep waiting for a headache, but it never came. I felt
great being I had no pain in my back and my headaches were gone. This was
the first time in my life I could actually say that I had no pain anywhere
in my body! That’s when I knew what direction I wanted my life to go and my
chiropractor told me about Palmer College of Chiropractic. I wanted to be
able to help people with their health problems. I began taking
pre-chiropractic courses at the community college. Then next thing I knew I
was attending Palmer College of Chiropractic.”
While attending Palmer
College of Chiropractic Dr. Tschetschot did many extra-curricular activities
to learn as much about chiropractic and how it impacted people’s lives. Dr.
Tschetschot interned with Dr. Rannfeldt of Rannfeldt Family Chiropractic for
three out of the four years he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic.
While interning with Dr. Rannfeldt, Dr. Tschetschot assisted him with the
chiropractic care for the local professional hockey team, Quad City
Mallards. Towards the end of his college years, he had another eye opening
experience by going on a clinic abroad program through the college. Dr.
Tschetschot was chosen out of over 200 students to go to Morocco, Africa.
This was the first group to go and spread chiropractic to this area of the
world. After doing this, Dr. Tschetschot graduated from Palmer College of
Chiropractic in 2004.

“When I am not helping patients, I enjoy
staying active by golfing, playing softball, going to the gym for weight
training and cardiovascular exercise. I like to ride motorcycles and travel
to new places along with playing with my Great Dane (Sampson) and my Boxer
(Brutus). I also like to spend time with my girlfriend by going on walks in
the park, snow skiing, and riding roller coasters at amusement parks.”
