of Arts degree from the University of California in Santa Cruz. Like his

There he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1998. While attending
Palmer, Dr. Williamson participated in a number of extra-curricular

There he taught classes in Sports Injury and Extremity Technique and Spinal
Adjusting Technique utilizing the Gonstead Method. Before graduation, he
earned 100 hours Advanced Certification in the Gonstead Technique. He also
participated in the preceptor program where he spent his last trimester
working at Santa Cruz Chiropractic and Sports Medicine Clinic. After
graduation, Dr. Williamson practiced in his hometown of Santa Cruz,

Dr. Williamson’s Chiropractic Story:
“I discovered Chiropractic when I was in high school. I played football
and during one of our games, I tackled an opposing player and jammed my
neck. Because it didn’t really hurt, I didn’t think anything of it at the
time and I played through the rest of the game. I clearly remember when I
woke up the next morning and reached into the closet for a towel, I felt a
little “catch” in my neck. So, I turned my head to the right to stretch it
out. That’s when my neck got completely stuck. When I tried to turn my head
even slightly back in the other direction, lightning bolts of pain shot
through my body. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t lie down. I had to sleep in a
reclining chair that night. I was in so much pain that I cried in my
mother’s arms. And I was a big, rough and tough football player! The next
day my mother took me to the chiropractor and after one adjustment, I felt
complete relief. Now, I was extremely grateful to that doctor. I felt
miraculously better. However, he didn’t teach me or my mother about the
benefits of corrective and wellness care. After that one visit, I didn’t see
another chiropractor until I started working for one about 10 years later
(which is what ultimately sent me down the path to becoming a chiropractor).
I’m grateful to my first chiropractor, but a little bitter as well. Maybe if
he had taken the time to educate me, I would have become a doctor sooner and
my neck and the rest of my spine and nervous system would be healthier
today. That’s why my personal mission is to take the time to educate each
patient who comes into my office. My goal is to explain your condition to
you in such a way that you can explain it to someone else. In my opinion,
knowledge will empower you to take responsibility for your health and enable
you to make better health care decisions. Little can be done about the past,
but we are here to help you with your future.”
